O2E Brands is looking for a Senior Data Engineer who is passionate about clean and organized data!! This role will deploy meaningful and insightful information to audiences, and engage the entire data SDLC lifecycle. The incumbent will build accurate and secure data pipelines, as well as analyze numbers and data to uncover opportunities to drive the business forward. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who is curious, a great listener, and who loves to ask questions and who is thrilled to get to the root of problems and deliver solutions for key stakeholders in all areas of the business.

???? HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT

Vancouver-based team members work in-office every other week (Tues–Thurs). Core attendance is required from 9 AM – 3 PM on these days to support business priorities.

???? A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Build, document, and be accountable for the quality and robustness of various data pipelines.
• Optimize data processing workflows, queries, and algorithms to improve efficiency, reduce latency, and enhance scalability.
• Adapt existing ETL solutions to ongoing changes in data sources (data sources include third-party APIs events captured on O2E Brands).
• Produce high-integrity, transparent, and reconcilable data on a regular basis.
• Monitor and report issues with data quality and creating automated checks on data quality.
• Integrate data between disparate systems.
• Share knowledge with other Engineers on best practices.
• Automate data-related tasks.
• Participate in grooming sessions with BI team

???? WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computing Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 5 + years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Expertise in SQL and Python.
• Familiarity with R and Data Build Tools (DBT) are strong assets.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Snowflake, or Google Cloud Platform, including experience with cloud-based data services (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery).
• Experience with Airflow
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player attitude with a strong desire to help our partner departments be as successful as possible.
• You have good decision-making and problem-solving skills within the scope of your projects
• You possess big-picture thinking, including contributions to high-level design of ETL / ELT processes to ensure scalability and reliability of solutions.
• Hands-on experience building & maintaining data warehouse model in an enterprise environment.
• Able to operate with a high level of autonomy.
• Experience working with Git version control.
• Passion for building systems and processes with high impact, high transparency, and easy business adoption.

???? COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Salary $115,000 to $125,000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
