We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Account Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships, driving sales growth, and representing EMCO Corporation in the marketplace. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and a passion for sales. Additionally, you will be expected to uphold EMCO's core values in all interactions and business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business growth.
- Conduct regular customer shop and site visits to provide support, training, and product knowledge.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and order fulfillment.
- Process orders, quotes, job packages and any other sales functions required
- Follow through on your customer and teammate commitments, see the sales process through from start to finish
- Gather market intel and identify new business opportunities.
- Investigate and resolve customer issues; address short payments and returns in a timely fashion that exceeds the customers' expectations and benefits of the Profit Centre
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals
- Meet or exceed sales targets, margin targets and key performance indicators.
- Represent EMCO Corporation at industry events to build brand awareness and strengthen customer relationships.
- College and/or University degree
- Minimum two years experience in sales or account management, preferably in the wholesale distribution industry.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Driven to continually identify and pursue new customers and to profitably increase market share of each assigned customer
- Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of product and value-added services
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, or industrial products is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building products sold at the Profit Centre
Additional Information
Salary Range: $50,000-$75,000 (depending on experience) + Car Allowance + Commissions/Profit Sharing
