Job Details: Warehouse Worker-Part-time
Pay: $20/hr
Schedule: 1 pm starts, Monday-Friday
Shifts: 4-5 hours/day
Location: Ottawa South/East
We're hiring a Warehouse Worker to join our team on behalf of a growing Ottawa Multi-National Business. Our client main business involves the production of specialist, metal detectable and x-ray visible products which mitigate against foreign body contamination in food and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. This is a part time role, which means it is highly suitable for a person with a young family who can and wants to be flexible with their work life balance.
Responsibilities:

• Picking and packing orders
• Loading and unloading of stock and deliveries
• Manufacturing or assembling products.
• Updating IT systems to ensure accurate stock control.
• Assist in unpacking, inspecting and quality checking products and their parts and repacking.
• Raise quality assurance concerns before items shipped to customer or satellite facilities.
• Ensure all health and safety regulations within the company are adhered to.
• Maintaining a neat and tidy work area
  

Requirements:

• Ability to work at a fast pace and meet deadlines.
• Deal with multiple orders simultaneously/ Ability to multi-task
• 6 months – 1 Year of previous and verifiable warehouse experience
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs when needed.
• Long periods of standing
  

Working relationships:

• Manufacturing Manager: You will receive training to bring you up to speed with local procedures and be your point of contact when difficulty arises.
• Sales team: Orders may be requested earlier due to customer interaction. You should be able to give updates on delivery of these.
• Company Directors: The company is structured for regular communication and updates with senior management.
