Job Title: Cook
Location: Kingston, ON
Shift/Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Wage: $24.30/HR
Job Responsibilities:
• Ensure Kitchen is clean and sanitized
• Meal preparation and delivery
• Demonstrated working knowledge of mechanically altered and therapeutic diets
• Ability to walk for extended periods of time
• Clean dishes, pots, and dietary equipment
• Understanding and commitment to the Gentle care philosophy
Job Requirements:
• Red Seal Certificate or, Chefs training or equivalent post-secondary certificate/diploma in culinary management
• Proof of Education (High School Diploma)
• TB Test valid within 1 year
• Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector Screen valid within 6 months
• Three (3) years of experience in dietary services in an industrial or similar setting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated time management skills
• Commitment to client/resident-centered service and care
• Ability to work at a fast pace
• Great work ethic
