Job Title: Business Development Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Business Development & Operations
Location: Greater Toronto Area
Primary Purpose:
Under minimal supervision provide Sales support to the Canadian business unit. Assist with cross functional coordination of activities between all departments involved in driving the Sales process forward from receipt of inquiry to contract award through to project completion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare professional sales quotations, proposals and Tender submissions issued to potential End users/Clients in the Canadian market. Assist in the follow-up on quotations, proposals, and Tender submissions.
- Identify potential leads and information on customers and competitors
- Liaise with Business Development, Engineering, Finance and Logistics departments to coordinate and organize in a timely fashion all project deliverables from initial inquiry to Bid to final Project Award, Execution, and follow-up.
- Present Business Development and Marketing activity reports to the Director of Business Development & Operations, inclusive of the use of CRM Software such as Salesforce.
- Assist in research that identifies high potential export markets and monitors competitor activity (pricing, geographical reach, other metrics).
- Assist in the research, analysis, and monitoring of political, financial, and technological trends within the international market to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive forces.
- Understand and adhere to all Acrow's policies and applicable laws.
- Travel to other Acrow Locations or Customer Sites as necessary.
- Perform other duties as required.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Complete fluency in English language.
- High Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.), particularly Excel spreadsheets.
- Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with strong emphasis on attention to detail.
- Strong team player with the ability to work harmoniously with the different departments within the company.
- Ability to work independently and with staff located remotely.
- Superior planning and organizational skills combined with ability to work under pressure on multiple deadlines.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration (Marketing, Accounting or Finance) or Engineering and 4 to 6 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, skills and experience.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in French a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Work is typically performed in an office environment which requires proper safety precautions. Work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.
- Travel requirements include but are not limited to our Acrow corporate headquarters in Parsippany NJ, USA.
- Regular work hours are planned for 8 hours per day between 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. Extra hours may be required from time to time. Summer hours for July and Aug. allow Friday afternoons off.
- All work-related equipment (laptop computer, cell phone, printer, fax copier) will be provided by the company as well as brochures, and newsletters.
