Sia Western Canada is looking to grow the Management Consultant practice in our Calgary office. We are focused on both digital and business transformation initiatives with high-profile clients primarily within Energy/Utilities, Transportation & Industrial sectors. We are looking for exceptional consulting professionals who have a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, and with hands-on experience delivering business process and technology projects.

Job Description

Role Overview:

As a Senior Consultant, you will be working as part of the Sia Partners team, delivering on various Transformation initiatives from a Project Management and delivery perspective to our clients.

**NOTE: You must be local to Calgary to be considered for this opportunity. Please see below qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create project charters and manage project delivery including vision and objectives, governance model, scope, schedule, resources, solution/process quality, benefits, risk/issue management, and success metrics
  • Identify and manage project and milestone dependencies, project resourcing, and associated budget(s)
  • Provide status reporting of progress, dependencies, issues, risks and overall project health
  • Facilitate and document data-driven business/IT decision-making to support critical project delivery milestones and timelines
  • Ensure appropriate project documentation is prepared, updated and maintained in client-approved project information repositories.
  • Optimize project delivery performance and outcomes.
  • Manage and motivate a diverse team of IT and business professionals, client-side stakeholders and 3rd party vendors.
  • With a keen eye to grow the business, participate in Business Development activities to grow business within existing client accounts and other pursuit activities
Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

  • You must be local to CALGARY or the Greater Calgary area – and be willing to work in a hybrid environment with a combination of remote/work from home, on client site, &/or at Sia's office in downtown Calgary.
  • You must be legally eligible to work in Canada, holding either Permanent Residency or full Citizenship status. We are not able to accommodate Visa sponsorship or relocation expenses at this time.
  • EDUCATION: At minimum you must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or information technology (or equivalent education plus experience). An MBA degree would be seen as a differentiator.
  • You must have minimum 8 years experience, including at least 1-2 years of direct Management Consulting experience working for a consulting firm.
  • You must have high technology & business acumen, with experience managing highly complex projects which cover both IT / digital transformations as well business and operational process change/improvement. Projects can include ERP implementations (SAP, MS Dynamics ERP, Oracle etc), system integrations, data migration & governance, post Merger & Acquisition (M&A) activities will be highly regarded.
  • You industry experience will be diverse; and should include Oil & Gas, Energy & Utilities, Transportation, &/or Manufacturing
  • You will have experience with RFP's – both in terms of building them (helping clients to assess & draft business requirements, go to market, assist with vendor selection and negotiation, as well as responding to them (leading the bid response, drafting the RFP response document, participating in shortlist presentations etc.).
  • PMP certification (or equivalent) is preferred.

Other Skills & Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience with Change Management and incorporating OCM best practices to your work and successful delivery of your projects.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid Project Management methodologies.
  • Team lead and mentorship experience.
  • Proven track record and ability to collaborate with and influence large stakeholder groups representing a variety of roles, functions and business areas.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
