We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Systems Onboarding & Support Technician to join our team in Burnaby, BC. This role will be responsible for ensuring that new employees and franchisees are efficiently set up with the necessary hardware, software accounts, and access to internal systems, including email, LMS, CRM systems, and other tools. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of G-Suite and a customer-first approach to providing helpdesk support. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • New Employee Setup: Configure and set up computers, install necessary software, and ensure systems are ready for new employees on their first day.
  • Account Creation & Permissions: Create, manage, and maintain user accounts across various platforms (e.g., Gmail, LMS, CRM, Twilio, etc.), ensuring correct permissions and access levels are assigned based on role, location, and department needs.
  • G-Suite Management: Administer G-Suite accounts, including setting up email, calendars, Google Drive, and other Google Workspace tools. Ensure proper configurations to facilitate seamless workflow and collaboration.
  • Change Request Management: Process and manage employee and franchisees' requests for changes to software access, permissions, or configurations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Helpdesk Support: Provide first-level helpdesk support, assisting employees with troubleshooting software and hardware issues, resolving login or access problems, and responding to technical inquiries.
  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve common technical problems such as account access issues, software installation errors, network connectivity problems, and system access difficulties. Escalate more complex issues to senior IT staff as needed.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate setup of systems, user accounts, and permissions, minimizing errors to ensure a smooth, disruption-free experience for new employees.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of employee setups, account access, and changes for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Ongoing User Support: Assist with periodic account audits, software updates, and user training to ensure employees are effectively utilizing systems and tools.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with HR, Operations, and other departments to ensure smooth onboarding processes and meet all technical requirements for new hires.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11, Apple iOS, and Microsoft Office 365. Strong understanding of G-Suite tools. Familiarity with LMS, CMS, and CRM systems is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills with a customer service mindset, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to collaborate with different teams.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in an office admin/helpdesk environment. Experience with user account management and IT support is highly beneficial.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to ensuring accuracy in setting up systems, assigning permissions, and managing user access.
  • Organization & Time Management: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, ensuring that new employee setups and support requests are handled promptly.
Working Conditions:
  • Office hours: Monday to Friday
  • This role is typically hybrid, requiring at least 3 days in the office. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities and collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless onboarding processes.
