MUST HAVES:

  • Develops, recommends, and supports the guidance of enterprise architecture which will be used for strategic, prototype, and target state documentation as well as for flagged applications and technologies in a large, distributed cross-platform environment.
  • Responsibilities include the identification of relevant information and the determination of interactions and sustainment within the greater environment, which will be used for recommending patterns and decision-tree frameworks, building partnerships, and being an expert guidance-giver for go-forward initiative considerations and technology selections.
  • Support to evaluate emerging technologies against local and global target state directions and architecture, recommending strategies and solutions that align with organizational goals and drive innovation.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, recommends, and supports the guidance of enterprise architecture which will be used for strategic, prototype, and target state documentation as well as for flagged applications and technologies in a large, distributed cross-platform environment.
  • Responsibilities include the identification of relevant information and the determination of interactions and sustainment within the greater environment, which will be used for recommending patterns and decision-tree frameworks, building partnerships, and being an expert guidance-giver for go-forward initiative considerations and technology selections.
  • Support to evaluate emerging technologies against local and global target state directions and architecture, recommending strategies and solutions that align with organizational goals and drive innovation.
  • Support work coming out of OHDC recommendations related to establishing system-level data governance and stewardship.

General Skills:

  • Leadership experience in the development and implementation of enterprise and/or domain architectures at the specified experience level
  • Extensive experience with at least three different platforms, operating systems, environments, database technologies, and communications protocols
  • Knowledge of performance considerations in different environments; Ability to work with enterprise CRM, data, and workflow platforms for discovery and modernization efforts.
  • Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development and implementation of applications and platforms.
  • Extensive experience in business and systems analysis and design in large systems environments
  • Knowledge and experience designing processes around ITIL, COBIT, etc., and is able to guide others using this methodology
  • Experience translating business requirements into downstream technical / solution needs
  • Experience preparing conceptual, logical and/or physical processes and data models
  • Experience developing, recommending, implementing and managing technical and related domain reference architectures
  • Leads highly sensitive enterprise, business, information, and technology architecture investigations, with ability to present to and influence diverse and complex set of stakeholders and leadership.
  • Awareness of emerging technologies, trends and directions, both technologically and within provincial health domain
  • Strong familiarity with composable architecture, microservices, and data decentralization and channel unification concepts.
  • Experience in developing enterprise and technology architecture deliverables (e.g. frameworks, models, patterns, processes, governance, playbooks) based on Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture processes and practice, as well as frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, etc..

Desirable Skills:

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
  • Strong familiarity with business process modeling and understanding of core business domains.
  • Detailed holistic knowledge and understanding of Enterprise, Application/Integration, and Data/Analytics architecture principles and applications across global and local layers.
  • Experience in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of cost optimization in enterprise technology environments.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices

NOTE

  • Extension/Amendment Attestation: Extension(s) only allowed using unused days/funds left on contract. No additional funds will be added beyond the maximum contract value and any extension options included in the original SOW.
  • Assignment Type: This position is currently listed as "Hybrid" as consultants will be required to work onsite at the work location 3 days a week and 2 days from home.
