Summary of Responsibilities:

The Senior Contract Administrator is tasked with supporting development of bid responses, negotiations and administration of various maritime and engineering projects. This role assures compliance with all statutes, regulations, and contract terms and conditions, and utilizes their technical and professional experiences to provide meaningful guidance and customer engagement to our team members and clients. Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Administer moderately large and complex contracts

Together with Vice President, Corporate Services, negotiate contract terms and conditions, analyze commercial sections of proposals and technical proposal evaluations, and coordinate technical scopes of work including interface with all project disciplines including marine construction, vessel and floatel operations, finance/accounting, and human resources, as applicable.

Support, guide, and implement changes in systems, processes, and procedures.

Support and participate in, and provide input to, project proposals including formal presentations.

Support Vice President, Corporate Services, in reviewing contracts activities (e.g. project budget, staffing plans, request for proposal bid evaluations, contracts, and monthly reports, etc.)

Perform contract management post-award activities through evaluating and status of contracts performance, alignment, contract change management, invoicing and claims avoidance.

Support Vice President, Corporate Services, perform closeout of contracts, finalize outstanding contract issues, issue of final modifications, invoices and coordinate completion of contract performance evaluations.

Conduct and maintain continuing review of progress of each contract and provide management with information pertaining to any financial, technical, or commercial difficulties.

Develop client relationships through interfacing with representatives, providing reports, and conducting superior execution, support Vice President, Corporate Services, in leading client and contract presentations and meetings.

Prepare bid evaluations for large engineering, construction, and maritime related projects in partnership with Finance/Accounting primarily for further approval/review of Vice President, Corporate Services and executive team.

Partner with internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across business lines, functions, and locations.

Maintain knowledge on regulations and practices in contract administration in various jurisdictions.

Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Minimum ten to fifteen years experience of contract management and subcontract administration supporting engineering, construction, and maritime related projects.

Exceptional comprehension and command of the English language (written and verbal)
Experience developing, negotiating contract terms and conditions specifically for contracts related to services, construction, engineering, materials and equipment installation.
Strong understanding of contracting principles and legal terms and conditions.
Broad understanding of either the construction industry or the marine industry, or both, and contract language associated in these disciplines.
Extensive experience and knowledge in contract formation and contract administration required.
Strong working knowledge of Contract law
Experience in work change and claims evaluation and negotiation.

Must be eligible to work in Canada
