We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Service Manager to join our service department at Winnipeg Honda. This individual will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure smooth operations, exceptional customer satisfaction, and the efficient handling of automotive repairs and maintenance. As an Assistant Service Manager, you will have the chance to work in a fast-paced, supportive environment while helping our customers keep their vehicles in top condition.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Service Manager in overseeing daily service operations, ensuring all activities run smoothly and efficiently

Lead and mentor a team of technicians, service advisors, and other service department staff.

Provide excellent customer service by ensuring clear communication with customers regarding their vehicle needs, repair updates, and cost estimates.

Schedule and prioritize service appointments, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.

Monitor and track service department performance, including productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial goals.

Ensure adherence to all safety and quality standards, as well as manufacturer guidelines for cost control, waste reduction

Resolve customer complaints and concerns, ensuring a positive experience and addressing issues promptly.

Help with administrative tasks such as processing work orders, preparing service reports, and tracking technician hours

Assist with overseeing and managing the Service department's operations and scheduling.

Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.


Requirements:

Post Secondary education in Business or Automotive Management preferred.

3+ years of experience in an automotive service department, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management role.

Strong knowledge of automotive repair, maintenance, and service operations.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Proficiency in using service department management software and tools.

Ability to motivate and lead a diverse team to meet departmental goals.

Valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
