Job Description:

Our top financial services client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Project Manager / Delivery Manager to lead and manage complex technology projects within the Capital Markets domain. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of mission-critical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership to drive innovation, mitigate risks, and optimize project outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management Leadership: Lead large-scale technology projects for Capital Markets, ensuring the successful delivery of solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including business, technology, and operations teams, to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Delivery & Execution: Manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and quality control to ensure successful execution and delivery of technology solutions.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues. Develop mitigation strategies and provide ongoing updates to stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring alignment with business and technology goals.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements, optimizing workflows, and enhancing efficiency within the delivery lifecycle.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Oversight: Ensure that all projects comply with relevant industry regulations, internal policies, and governance standards.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide regular project status reports, financial updates, and executive-level communications to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee third-party vendors and external partners, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in managing technology delivery within Capital Markets or Financial Services.
    • Proven experience in managing large-scale, high-complexity technology projects (preferably in a financial institution).
  • Certifications:
    • PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar project management certification is highly preferred.
    • Agile certification (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe) is a plus.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of Capital Markets technology systems, including trading platforms, risk management tools, and market data systems.
    • Familiarity with cloud technologies, data architecture, and integration frameworks.
    • Familiarity with Payments (ISO 8583), ATM, POS
  • Leadership & Communication Skills:
    • Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a must for this role.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and drive teams to deliver results.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate challenges and provide innovative solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Proven ability to engage and manage relationships with senior executives, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Agile & Waterfall:
    • Solid experience managing projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
