PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR
The Payroll Administrator leads all aspects of payroll and benefits execution while providing broad support to Impact Kitchen's People & Culture team. Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, this is an incredibly important role and one with upward mobility for a tenacious self-starter. This is a new position for our organization as we continue to grow of which we are actively looking to fill.
LOCATION
Hybrid - work from home & rotational in-person throughout the GTA a minimum of three days per week. Ability to travel to all our restaurants and throughout Toronto's core is a must for success at Impact Kitchen.
COMPENSATION
The Payroll Administrator is entitled to a salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year aligned with experience, 2 weeks of vacation, benefits and a meal allowance to keep you fueled up while you work.
TEAM & DEPARTMENT
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager the Payroll Administrator will be an integral part of the broader People & Culture team and responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing of the company's 200+ employees across the organization.
In addition to core payroll responsibilities, the successful candidate will also participate in quarterly strategic planning and OKR execution and have an opportunity to collaborate directly with the People & culture Director and the broad Impact Kitchen team.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute all payroll activities with excellence and independence
- Maintain electronic employee records
- Develop and report on key performance indicators
- Control and maintain vacation, personal days, leaves of absence
- Maintain team uniform allocations and deductions as required
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Proactively collaborate with the P&C team and drive forward momentum
- Perform employee onboarding / offboarding
SKILLS
- Leads payroll & benefits functions for an organization with at minimum 150 employees
- Experienced in working with the UKG suite of software is required
- Experience with both salaried and hourly employees
- Expert in payroll best - practices and CRA legislation
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Sets high standards for attention to detail while completing tasks with efficiency
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Is hungry to grow and approaches continual development with humility and curiosity
- Interest in contributing to the broader People & Culture goals of the organization
- Bonus points for a payroll certification
- Bonus points for experience with a multi-unit business
- Bonus points for experience with USA based employees.
