Job Overview:

We are looking for an Instructional Designer to join our Learning and Development team to support our evolving learning strategy, including new hire training, ongoing courses, and project-based learning. This role will work closely with our Learning and Development Manager and another Instructional Designer to help launch new learning initiatives, uphold best practices, and ensure accountability among our stakeholders.

NOTE: This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position in downtown Vancouver.

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Develop, facilitate, and evaluate training content and programs, including onboarding, continuous learning, and leadership development.
  • Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual training sessions, workshops, and on-the-job learning opportunities.
  • Design interactive training materials, including videos, infographics, and games, to create impactful learning experiences.
  • Author manuals and training documents for a range of topics and audiences.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics, ensuring programs align with business and learner needs.
  • Develop and implement learning solutions using sound instructional design principles and industry best practices.
  • Apply stakeholder feedback, revising content based on input from subject matter experts and business leaders.
  • Research emerging trends, technologies, and techniques in instructional design to introduce fresh ideas into our L&D strategy.

What You Should Already Have:

  • Bachelors degree in education, communications, human resources, business, or equivalent experience.
  • At least three years of experience in instructional design or learning and development.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and e-learning platforms (LMS).
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills to work effectively with team members, peers, and stakeholders.
