This exciting and dynamic role offers a unique opportunity to split your time between two organizations, both conveniently located in the same building.

For 2.5 days each week, youll be providing HR support to Niagara Adventure Excursions (WildPlay Niagara Falls), an adventure tourism company that offers thrilling outdoor experiences and exceptional customer service. In this fast paced, customer-facing environment, youll focus on recruitment, policy development and employee relations.


The remaining 2.5 days will be dedicated to supporting NIACON, a well-respected local construction company, where youll manage HR processes including onboarding, performance management and payroll and benefits. This dual-role position presents an excellent opportunity to broaden your HR expertise across two diverse sectorshospitality and industrialwhile making a meaningful impact in both fields.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, addressing workplace concerns, conflict resolution and performance management.
  • Partner with leadership to foster a positive workplace culture and drive employee engagement initiatives.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, reference check and offer negotiations.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new employees.
  • Schedule, attend and document quarterly staff performance reviews.
  • Develop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment laws and best practices.
  • Assist with managing compensation and benefits programs.
  • Support the Joint Health & Safety Committee with policy development, ensuring bi-monthly meetings, proper reporting of inspections and adherence to best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and generate reports on key HR metrics.
  • Assist with coordinating company staff events.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources; CHRP designation or currently pursuing certification is an asset.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar HR role.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Ontario employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act and Ontario Human Rights Code
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and WSIB processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Able to take initiative, manage multiple responsibilities, and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
