The Astra Group is seeking a full-time Site Superintendent for our adaptive reuse projects in Calgary, Alberta.

This experienced Site Superintendent will oversee our office-to-residential conversion in downtown Calgary. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction project on-site, ensuring it adheres to plans, schedules and safety regulations, while managing the construction team and subcontractors. Applicants should have significant experience in renovating commercial units, both interior and exterior. They must maintain strict timelines and have expert-level experience of all site activities to be able to solve jobsite problems.

Applicants must have the following:

8+ years hands-on experience in renovations construction, interior and exterior

Site supervision experience renovating apartment buildings

Understanding of hazardous materials and remediation procedures

Ground-up construction experience is a bonus

Expert knowledge of all interior construction, including trades and quality control

The ability to solve any jobsite problem and manage the construction site

Excellent communication skills

Comprehensive knowledge of interior and exterior construction assemblies

Familiarity with Alberta Safety Regulations

Ability to coordinate tradespeople

Willingness to, from time to time, work on weekends
