Transit Driver

PWTransit seeking a Part-Time Transit Driver (small bus) to join our team in the Regional District of Mount Waddington. We offer competitive wages, ongoing training and development, and a family-oriented team environment.

Drivers are responsible for safely transporting passengers on a daily basis and must be committed to providing superior customer service. Commitment, patience, maturity, and initiative are all required qualities.

Compensation

• Wage: $23.40 - $26.00 per hour

Position Requirements:

• A valid Class 2 or 4 driver's license
• Driver's abstract with no more than 3 demerit points
• Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol screening
• Clear criminal record
• Must be organized, punctual and reliable
• Possess excellent driving skills and habits
• Ability to read maps and navigate
• Ability to communicate effectively
• A good knowledge of the local area is a definite asset
• Willing to work shifts, including split shifts, weekends and statutory holidays as necessary

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely transport passengers on a number of assigned routes
• Manage passenger behaviour by quickly and effectively solving problems
• Drive safely and responsibly and be prepared for all road and traffic conditions
• Provide superior customer service and assist with passenger questions/inquiries
