Responsibilities
- The supervisor is accountable to his or her staff, assisting with hiring, training, evaluations, recognition and development.
- Responsible for the protection of company assets and the reporting and arrest of criminals, ensuring the maintenance of peace and order for guests and fellow employees.
- Delivers exceptional customer service and ensures compliance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and other applicable laws, policies and regulations.
- Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
- Lives the Brand.
- Set measures and standardized feedback reports/systems/tools to track department progress and keep the executive team and others as appropriate apprised of results and initiatives for continuous improvement
- Garner peer involvement for strategies and initiatives
- Recommend and ensure safety and emergency procedures training as required for non-security/transportation team members
- Maintain accurate records on incidents and investigation
- Oversee alarm and key control systems
- Demonstrate a resounding commitment to responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service including the discouragement/prevention of problem gambling and underage gambling/consumption of alcohol
- Maintain Weekly Logs (Escalator, Attendance, Monthly Training Exercises)
- Coach Supervisors as needed
- Quarterly/Monthly Audit of security systems
- Training new team members
- Review Reports daily
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Experience, Education, and Certifications:
- A minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Law and Security
- A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a related field
- Working knowledge of computer application packages
- A current First Aid/CPR Certificate, along with Non Violent Intervention Technique Certificate
- The ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
Skills:
- Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of computer software packages
- Previous gaming experience or knowledge of the gaming industry
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk distances.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
- The employee must frequently lift/push/pull and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a highly regulated and controlled environment, but there will be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor to complete job functions as outlined or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
