Our client, a well-established leader in property restoration, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator / Project Manager to oversee restoration and construction projects from estimation through to completion. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys problem-solving, and values accountability and teamwork.
You'll work on a variety of insurance and non-insurance restoration projects, often in emergency situations, while collaborating with technicians, sub-trades, and internal administrative support to drive quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
A. Project Management:
• Conduct site visits and create detailed scopes and estimates for restoration jobs.
• Respond promptly to emergency claims, assess loss causes, and determine immediate next steps.
• Coordinate daily activities with technicians, sub-trades, and clients to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
• Monitor project progress, update stakeholders regularly, and adjust workflows as needed to maintain service level agreements (SLAs).
• Oversee permitting processes, review compliance, and handle documentation from start to finish.
• Track sub-trade quotes, changes, and requests for payment.
B. Communication & Client Relations:
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients and insured individuals throughout each project.
• Provide progress updates and respond quickly to inquiries, concerns, or issues.
• Establish effective on-site communication between sub-trades, in-house staff, and the client.
General Responsibilities:
• Participate in weekly production meetings and occasional on-call rotations.
• Maintain professional conduct with clients and uphold a high standard of workmanship.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and collaborate with leadership on continuous improvement.
• Deliver exceptional customer service with a focus on teamwork and individual responsibility.
Qualifications:
A. Education & Certifications
• Diploma or Degree in Construction, Building Technology, or Engineering.
• Certifications such as PMP, Gold Seal, C.E.T., or IICRC are strong assets.
B. Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance restoration and/or construction estimating/project management.
• A successful track record managing insurance claims and working with Xactimate and XactAnalysis is preferred.
C. Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and restoration industry software.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with an emphasis on professionalism and client care.
• Ability to multitask and adjust to shifting priorities with flexibility and focus.
