We want you to work with our client as an Appraiser, supporting our client in their office, located in Toronto. We are seeking a highly diligent and detail-oriented Real Estate Appraiser to provide credible and reliable appraisal results for our clients and other stakeholders.

In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting appraisal data. Your expertise will ensure accurate valuation of properties, enabling clients to make informed decisions. You will play a crucial role in assessing market values, evaluating property conditions, and preparing comprehensive reports. Your meticulous approach, strong analytical skills, and ability to interpret data will contribute to the credibility and viability of the appraisal process. As a Real Estate Appraiser, you will have a direct impact on shaping the decisions and outcomes of our clients and the real estate industry.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect properties and consider factors such as market conditions, location, and property characteristics to determine their value.
  • Conduct formal appraisals of real property or land after it is sold, mortgaged, taxed, insured, or developed.
  • Prepare appraisal reports for lending agencies, insurance companies, government departments, courts, attorneys, creditors, buyers or auctioneers.
  • Collaborate with other real estate professionals to ensure accurate and timely appraisals.
  • Analyze market trends, comparable sales, and other relevant data to determine property values.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all appraisal activities.
  • Communicate findings and provide expert advice to clients, lenders, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on changes in real estate market conditions, appraisal techniques, and regulatory requirements.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Certified Residential or General Real Estate Appraiser license or International Association of Assessing Officers. (RAA/GAA/IAAO)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a real estate agent, right-of-way agent or property administrator and requires a Canadian residential appraiser certification.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in appraisal software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
  • Knowledge of local real estate market conditions and trends.
