OVERVIEW:

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be part of a cross functional team responsible for ensuring the efficient sourcing, cost optimization, and timely availability of materials while mitigating supply chain risks and ensuring quality compliance.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Hardware Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for procurement, supplier management, and logistics for electronic components, PCBs, and mechanical assemblies used in industrial hardware development. The ideal candidate has experience in electronics manufacturing, procurement of semiconductors, passive/active components, and mechanical enclosures, with a strong understanding of supply chain challenges in hardware production.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

  • Supply Chain Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business goals, focusing on cost, efficiency, and risk management.
  • Procurement & Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials and services. Build strong supplier relationships and manage contracts.
  • Inventory & Demand Planning: Monitor inventory levels, optimize stock, and ensure accurate demand forecasting to prevent shortages or overstock.
  • Logistics & Distribution: Oversee warehousing, transportation, and distribution to ensure seamless operations, timely deliveries, and cost optimization.
  • Process Improvement & Cost Reduction: Drive cost reduction initiatives, optimize BOM (Bill of Materials) sourcing, and identify efficiencies in the procurement process to optimize supply chain operations and improve productivity.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory, environmental, and company policies. Manage risks related to suppliers, logistics, and supply chain disruptions.
  • ERP & Digital Supply Chain Management: Utilize ERP, MRP, and supply chain analytics tools to enhance visibility, streamline procurement, and improve decision-making.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, finance, and other departments to align supply chain strategies with overall business needs.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data, and generate reports to drive continuous improvement.

WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management in electronics, PCB manufacturing, or electro-mechanical hardware production.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components (ICs, resistors, capacitors, PCBs, sensors, etc.) and mechanical parts (housings, connectors, heatsinks, brackets, etc.).
  • Knowledge of global electronic component distributors (Digi-Key, Mouser, Arrow, Avnet, etc.) and contract manufacturers.
  • Expertise in managing risks related to component shortages, lifecycle management, and counterfeit parts.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and supply chain software.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of manufacturing processes and production techniques.
