Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Digital Fundraising, the Digital Fundraising Strategist is a trusted advisor for our non-profit clients and a key executor of the digital teams campaigns. This role requires deep fundraising expertise, a donor-centric mindset, and hands on experience developing and executing successful digital campaigns that inspire giving. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of non-profit organizations, donor motivations, and digital best practices for email, web, social media, search, and mobile giving/SMS. This role is responsible for implementing innovative, data-driven strategies and optimizing campaign performance to exceed client goals.
What the Role Includes:
Strategic Campaign Execution
> Collaborate with the Director, Digital Fundraising, to design and execute multi-channel digital fundraising strategies tailored to meet client objectives.
> Translate client goals into actionable campaign plans, leveraging platforms such as email, paid media, SMS, and landing pages to acquire leads and donors and drive revenue.
> Lead and oversee the development of compelling campaign creatives, content and messaging, ensuring alignment with digital fundraising best practices.
> Develop briefs, budgets, media plans, audience segmentation plans and pacing, and establish target KPIs for campaigns.
Fundraising Expertise
> Use knowledge of donor behaviors and motivations to craft digital campaign strategies that resonate with audiences and inspire giving.
> Implement user experience best practices to build seamless donor journeys, from ads, SMS and email to landing pages and donation forms.
> Establish and execute testing strategies to optimize campaign performance, including A/B testing, segmentation, and automation.
Performance Optimization
> Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign results, leveraging insights to refine strategies and maximize ROI.
> Proactively recommend adjustments to campaigns based on performance data, ensuring goals are met or exceeded.
> Manage in-house paid media buying for clients across all digital platforms (primarily Meta and Google Ads).
Collaboration and Communication
> Work closely with internal teams, including Account Executives, Project Managers, Digital team members and creatives, to ensure campaigns are executed flawlessly.
> Provide leadership through expertise, offering actionable recommendations that improve results and exceed client expectations.
> Present performance analyses and recommendations to clients, using data to tell a compelling story of impact and improvement.
To be Successful:
> 5 - 7 years of hands-on experience managing digital marketing and fundraising campaigns for non-profits and similar businesses and achieving measurable results.
> Post-secondary education and training in marketing or a related field, with a focus on digital platforms would be considered an asset.
> Proven expertise leveraging fundraising tools and platforms for email marketing, SMS, social media paid advertising, and analytics reporting.
> Advanced experience with paid media platforms (Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest), email platforms, websites and online giving platforms and data tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager).
> Strong understanding of donor segmentation, UX and CRO best practices, experience leveraging AI, A/B testing and automation tools.
