Job Summary:

The shipper/receiver will work in close collaboration with the Tool Crib Supervisor to perform the day-to-day tasks in our warehouse. The candidate has experience working in a warehouse environment, has worked on a forklift and is aware of the shipping receiving process. The candidate has a proven track record of being able to work independently as part of a larger team, a high degree of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • receiving parcels and logging into the system.
  • working in a tool crib and assigning out tools.
  • Interface with customers and other departments as necessary to ensure successful completion of service.
  • Act as a back driver.
  • Handle customer service requests using strong interpersonal skills and a customer focus.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
  • Act as backup for Tool crib Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a shipper/receiver
  • Class G Driver's License is required; DZ Driver's License is an asset
  • Working knowledge of an MRP system is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and multi-tasking
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and take initiative.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Demonstrated coordination, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
