Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Shop Inspector to support our fabrication shop. This role involves inspecting welded piping and structural steel, ensuring compliance with ASME and CSA standards, and maintaining quality documentation. The position is full time, and candidates must be open to extended hours, weekends, and night shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of welded piping and structural steel.
• Record welder symbols, heat numbers, and radiography numbers on drawings and travel sheets.
• Prepare documentation for and inspect hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests.
• Ensure compliance with ASME and CSA welding codes and practices.
• Complete and maintain Quality Control paperwork.
• Work collaboratively in a fabrication shop environment with other trades.
• Adapt to working indoors and outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather conditions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• CWB Level 2 or Level 1 working towards Level 2 Certification, endorsed in B31.3 and/or CSA W47/59 (preferred).
• 2+ years of Quality Control experience (preferred).
• Previous trade experience (preferred).
• Strong understanding of welding practices and ASME/CSA codes.

Compensation:

• Level 1: $35 - $42 per hour
• Level 2: $42+ per hour
