The Role
We are seeking an Accountant with a strong focus on accounts receivable (AR), project costing, and invoicing to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to learn and grow within a fast-paced, client-focused environment while contributing directly to our operational efficiency and financial accuracy.
In this on-site position, you'll work closely with the Financial Controller, taking responsibility for AR activities such as issuing invoices, collections, and project/job costing. You will leverage your familiarity with Sage 50 and expertise in accounting fundamentals to meet tight operational and reporting deadlines while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the individual will provide support to the accounting team to meet operational and reporting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:
- Issue invoices for flights, maintenance work orders, and other services.
- Monitor and manage collections to ensure timely receipt of payments.
- Prepare detailed reports related to AR activities and reconcile discrepancies.
Project and Job Costing:
- Prepare and manage monthly project costings for flights and other operations.
- Track, analyze, and report on direct and indirect costs associated with projects.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly financial reports for managed aircraft.
- Conduct variance analyses and reconcile multi-currency bank and credit card accounts.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Prepare and file quarterly carbon and excise tax rebates.
- Generate monthly aircraft flight time reports in accordance with transportation regulations.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian tax regulations related to flights.
Operational Support:
- Analyze fuel costs, direct flying costs, and prepare detailed weekly/monthly summaries.
- Validate and reconcile financial transactions to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with other ad-hoc accounting and administrative duties as required
- Perform other ad-hoc duties
Who you are
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, math, or a related field
- Expert knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience in AR and project/job costing is highly desirable.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Working knowledge of Sage 50 or Simply Accounting preferred
- Self-motivated with a desire to continually learn and grow
- Eligible status to work in Canada

Salary range $60,000 - $70,000
