MolecuLights medical imaging devices, the MolecuLight i:X and DX, visualize bacterial and tissue fluorescence in real-time, providing transformative information to wound care clinicians.

Summary

MolecuLight is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Communications Manager to support the strategic dissemination of our scientific and clinical findings. Leveraging your expertise in translating complex data into compelling narratives, you will lead and execute the development of a wide range of materials, including clinical manuscripts, conference presentations, and evidence-focused marketing collateral. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Medical Communications, Clinical Trials, Reimbursement & Market Access, Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, and Product Development departments, as well as external stakeholders including wound care clinicians, key opinion leaders, societies, and advocacy groups. This role requires a deep understanding of wound care, related technologies, and the competitive landscape, enabling effective communication of MolecuLight's innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

The Medical Communications Managers responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Lead the creation of medical communications material (incl. abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and presentations).

Lead the creation of select evidence-focused marketing materials (incl. publication summaries, website content, press releases).

Coordinate with clinicians, external vendors, and internal stakeholders, providing strategic input.

Attend regional and national clinical conferences, providing KOL support, fostering mutually beneficial relationships, and identifying emerging industry trends.

Other important aspects of this role include:

Excellent project management, including directing medical writers.

Ensure evidence is presented in a clear, complete, accurate, and concise manner. Ensure that statements and conclusions are accurate, balanced, and supported by appropriate data and regulatory claims.

Exhibit flexibility in navigating shifting priorities and preparing a diverse range of materials.

Work with teams to ensure smooth and timely development of documents and escalate issues, as appropriate, to ensure document completion.

Possess overarching view of product evidence and external environment (including competitors) with ability to contribute strategic planning.

Relationships

This position reports directly to the Senior Medical Affairs Manager. Internally, this position will interface directly with the departments of Clinical Trials, Reimbursement & Market Access, Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, and Product Development to ensure all communications are of high scientific excellence and are aligned with corporate goals. Externally, this position will interface with clinicians to facilitate the publication of clinical research, as well as societies and wound care advocacy groups to increase awareness of MolecuLight technology.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required

Required Experience:

Masters, PhD, or MD in scientific, healthcare, or technology related field

Expertise in wound care or related field (knowledge of surgical management of chronic wounds, or related surgical experience, is considered an asset)

History of authoring peer-reviewed clinical publications

Essential Skills:

Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage competing and shifting priorities

Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including technical/scientific writing

Ability to work independently and lead projects with minimal guidance

Ability to direct and mentor medical writers

Ability to foster and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals

Accuracy and strong attention to detail

Strong computer skills and technological literacy

Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

Proficiency with MS office suite and experience with referencing software

Considered an Asset:

Expertise in diagnostics, imaging, microbiology, and/or statistical analysis of clinical data

Experience in proofing/editing for quality and regulatory compliance
