Were looking for a Director of People Operations to join our leadership team and take charge ofdesigning and delivering modern, practical HR solutions to our growing client base. This is astrategic and hands-on roleideal for someone who can lead with confidence, build fromscratch, and execute without needing step-by-step direction.
The majority of your focus will be on helping our clients implement best-in-class peoplepractices that support growth and retention. Youll also support our internal managers, helpingthem build strong teams and a thriving culture within Numbercrunch.
What Youll Own:
Client-Facing Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of People Operations services for our clientsprimarilygrowing, privately held Canadian companies. This includes:
Building and implementing hiring, onboarding, and payroll SOPs
Conducting compensation reviews and benchmarking
Designing and managing employee benefits programs
Developing performance management frameworks
Driving recruitment and retention strategies
Leading BambooHR implementation and optimization
Overseeing ESOP programs and employee equity communications
Acting as a DEI leader, embedding inclusive practices in client organizations
Internal Focus:
Coaching and supporting Numbercrunchs internal managers in leading their teams with
confidence and consistency
Contributing to our own People strategy as we grow our team and culture
Who You Are:
A senior HR leader with 12+ years of progressive experience as both an in-house
generalist and external consultant, delivering HR strategy, operations, and systems
support in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
Proven track record of building and scaling HR infrastructure from the ground up,
aligning people strategies with business goals
Highly resourceful and proactive adept at identifying gaps and implementing impactfulsolutions with minimal oversight
Trusted advisor to executives and business owners, with strong relationship managementskills and executive presence
Deep expertise in HR technologies, including leading end-to-end implementations ofplatforms such as BambooHR
In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment standards, total rewards, benefits, andequity programs
Passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience leading company-wide,people-first initiatives
Skilled communicator, coach, and cross-functional collaborator who builds trust anddrives outcomes.

We offer a competitive total compensation package, including base salary, performance
incentives, benefits, and RRSP participation.
This job requires you to come into our lovely Kanata office four days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and on Fridays you get to work from home! Our working hours are 9-5 (no overtime is expected!)
