The Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the VP, Finance & Accounting will work closely with the Leadership Team to implement and execute our strategy and vision.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Leadership, management and accountability for finance and accounting team
• Financing and debt management
• Legal oversight including corporate structure and investor reporting
• Insurance
• Long term cash forecast
• Systems and processes in finance and accounting

• Lead a highly engaged team that loves where they work.
• Have the simplest, most efficient and effective processes that make us easy to work with.
• Deliver financials and budget reviews on agreed schedule every month.
• Estimates should be approximately right, not precisely wrong and numbers that need to be 100% accurate, always are.
• A deep understanding of the business, with the ability to know, at a glance, if financial information makes sense.
• Understand market values in all our markets.
• Provide insight on financial information to the Leadership Team.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• CPA designation.
• At least 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, including a minimum of five years in aVP or CFO role.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strategic mindset, with the ability to think innovatively and drive positive change.
• Ability to see risks and opportunities behind financial data and act as a strategic business partner.

Compensation Package:

Annual Salary: $170,000-$200,000 depending on experience

Annual Bonus: Highstreet pays an annual bonus based on company performance. A typical bonus for a Vice President is approximately 70% of annual salary. Determined annually, the bonus could be more or less depending on results.

Investment Opportunity: Highstreet encourages all employees to share in our success by offering the opportunity to invest in the projects we build and operate. To encourage employee investment, Highstreet matches employee investment at 50% up to 20% of annual salary (i.e. for every $1 invested by the employee, Highstreet invests $0.50 on the employees behalf). The investment is TFSA and RRSP eligible.
