The salary range for this position is $74,000 to $90,000 based on years of experience.

About the Role

As the Librarian, you will be at the heart of our Library Learning Hub (LLH), ensuring it remains a vibrant, welcoming, and forward-thinking space that supports critical thinking, digital literacy, and academic integrity. You will manage the librarys strategic direction and daily operations, curating diverse and inclusive collections, guiding students and faculty in research and inquiry, and integrating innovative learning resources into our curriculum.


This role primarily supports the Upper School (Grades 6-12), with additional engagement in the Early Years and Junior School. The LLH is more than a libraryit is an incubator of ideas, a collaborative workspace, and a launchpad for students to explore their passions and develop the skills they need to thrive in an ever-changing world.

What Youll Do

Transform the LLH into a powerhouse of learning Oversee its daily operations, manage resources, and cultivate a culture of inquiry, collaboration, and exploration.
Teach students to think critically Deliver lessons on research strategies, digital literacy, source evaluation, and ethical information use.
Partner with faculty and leadership Work closely with educators to embed library services into the curriculum, enhancing cross-disciplinary learning experiences.
Foster a love of reading Champion reading as a gateway to knowledge, creativity, and global understanding for students of all ages.
Innovate and adapt Shape the evolving role of the school library, integrating emerging technologies and best practices to future-proof learning resources.
Support professional growth Train and guide faculty, staff, and volunteers in effectively using library resources and digital tools.

Who You Are

  • A qualified librarian (MLIS or equivalent) passionate about student-centered learning. Minimum of 5 years experience working in an educational setting.
  • A creative and forward-thinking educator who embraces the evolving role of libraries in the digital age.
  • A strong communicator and collaborator, eager to work alongside faculty and students.
  • A champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring our collections and resources reflect the global perspectives of our community.
  • A tech-savvy professional who leverages digital tools and data-driven insights to enhance library services.

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience in accordance with BC labour laws and company policies.
