About the Role

Reporting directly to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Senior HR Specialist plays an essential role supporting every stage of the employee life cycle. Duties & Responsibilities

RecruitmentLead

  • Manage end-to-end resourcing, including conducting needs analysis with hiring leaders, sourcing, attracting, screening and onboarding top talent

HROperations&Compliance

  • ServeasatrustedBambooHRadministratorforallkeyupdatestoemployeerecords.

  • Collaborate with Compliance and Finance/Payroll team to ensure audit and operational requirements are met
  • Stay current on evolving talent best practices, applicable legislation, and industry trends to help keep function progressive and successful

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • College or University degree, preferably in Human Resources, Social Sciences or Business
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a start-up/scale-up or fast-moving environment
  • Must be tech savvy, quick to learn new software
  • Exceptional communication skills written, oral, presentation
  • Demonstrated success in building strong working relationships with diverse teams
  • Highly proficient in Google Suite and MS Office
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA) as well as other applicable legislation such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Human Rights Code.

Please note this position is hybrid with 2 days/week on site.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of JHSC certification, or willingness to become certified
  • Experience with an HRIS system as a backend user/administrator
  • Experience supporting compensation processes, or willingness to learn
  • CHRP certification/in progress, or other applicable ongoing professional development
