Queen Margarets School is seeking an innovative and dynamic Head of Digital Innovation to lead and advance our K12 digital learning strategy. About the Role

As the Head of Digital Innovation, you will design, implement, and refine a comprehensive digital curriculum that integrates computational thinking, coding, AI, robotics, and digital literacy. Students will build foundational skills in elementary school and progress to programming and AP Computer Science A in senior school.

Beyond curriculum development, you will foster a culture of innovation, empowering students and faculty to use technology ethically, creatively, and effectively. Your leadership will ensure that Queen Margarets School remains at the forefront of educational technology trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee a K12 digital innovation strategy aligned with BC curriculum standards.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive digital curriculum from foundational digital literacy to advanced computer science.
  • Support faculty in integrating computational thinking and emerging technologies into their teaching.
  • Provide professional development for teachers on technology-enhanced teaching methods.
  • Mentor and coach faculty to foster innovative and interdisciplinary classroom practices.
  • Partner with the Director of Technology to ensure digital infrastructure supports learning goals.
  • Oversee student-led initiatives, including robotics teams, coding clubs, and digital showcases.
  • Advocate for ethical and responsible technology use and promote digital citizenship.
  • Ensure inclusivity and accessibility in digital learning for all students.

Qualifications & Experiences

  • Graduate of a recognized B.Ed program (or equivalent) with a strong focus on educational technology, computer science, or STEM.
  • Have or be eligible for BC Ministry of Education Teacher Certification.
  • Experience in developing and implementing technology-infused curricula in a K-12 environment.
  • Strong understanding of BCs K-12 curriculum, particularly in digital literacy, computer science, and emerging technologies.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale digital initiatives in educational settings.
  • Experience with robotics, coding, AI integration, and AP Computer Science A (Java).
