Weishaupt Design Group is searching for a Seasonal Gardener based out of the Caledon East area to join our team for the 2025 spring/summer season. As an ideal candidate, the Grounds Labourer is a self-motivated individual with a strong interest in working outdoors, the ability to work effectively autonomously, and a positive attitude.

Reporting to the Grounds Manager at Yellow Wood, the Seasonal Gardener will be responsible for the planting and maintenance of all gardens on the property, cutting of the grass, and assisting with the development of a new garden. Additionally, they will help tend to the garden once built and care for animals such as ducks and chickens. We are looking for someone passionate about small-scale farming and gardening who enjoys working with plants and animals alike.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Groundskeeping crew daily
• Assist in the development and construction of a new garden
• Plant and maintain the various flower and vegetable gardens
• Weekly grass cutting
• Care for small livestock, including ducks and chickens
• Ensuring all projects are completed within appropriate timelines
• General upkeep of properties to ensure all amenities are in good, working condition
• Proper disposal of garbage and debris from properties
• Supporting with the building and upkeep of trail infrastructure
• Additional duties and responsibilities as required

Requirements:

• Team player with a positive attitude
• Self-motivated with a high attention to detail
• Experience landscaping/gardening
• Interest or experience in small-scale farming and animal care
