We are currently recruiting for the position of IT Support Specialist (Help Desk) and backup to our Technology Trainer. This role is located in our Vancouver office. Join a team of IT professionals that enjoy technology and support each other in the delivery of exceptional IT services to the firm.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

IT Support Responsibilities:
Tier 1 IT Support troubleshoot requests coming from calls and emails to the IT Help Desk
Provide after hours on-call support on rotating schedule.
Support & setup of Audio/Video conferencing technology in meeting rooms.
Support for computer equipment & office phone setup and moves
Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve end-user application or peripheral issues. This may involve working with application support teams and vendors.
Support our IT environment, including Virtual & Physical desktops, mobile device management (MDM), access & identity management (AD, Entra, MFA), Microsoft Office suite, document management, endpoint and web security, and supporting video/web conferencing platforms Cisco Webex, MS Teams, and Zoom.


Backup to Technology Trainer Responsibilities:

Serve as backup Technology Trainer when the Technology Trainer is not available.
Assist with designing, developing and implementing technology training programs to enhance technical skills, productivity and efficiency of all Firm personnel lawyers & support staff.
Conduct new hire and continuous learning workshops for staff and lawyers on the Firm's technologies and applications when required.
Conduct sessions virtually and/or on-site.

Qualifications

  • Certificate or diploma in information technology or computer systems
  • Microsoft Office/Windows experience
  • 2+ years experience in supporting enduser technologies, including Windows10, MS Office, Adobe, networked printers, Mac OS, and remote access solutions (RDP, VPN).
  • Minimum 1 year experience with conducting user training sessions
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Good Interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to be resilient when dealing with stressful situations or people
  • Selfmotivated and able to multitask
  • Willing to work flexible hours when required
  • This position is required to be onsite in the downtown Vancouver office.
  • Successful completion of a Canadian criminal record check

Nice to have

  • Experience working in a professional services or law firm
    You have a background in standard IT technologies and a strong understanding of ITIL

Thetypical salary range for this position is$58,000 - $63,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal and market equity.
