As our Branch Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing branch operations at our Thunder Bay location, including technical services delivery and customer support related to our portfolio of fire and life safety services, and solutions. Additional expectations of this role include:

  • Championing safety leadership in all aspects of the operations through regular communication of safety objectives; review of safety performance; and adherence to safety standards, policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring efficient and effective branch operations including management of day to day work as well as multiple projects/contracts of varying scopes and complexity, work schedules, work planning, inventory optimization, work progress, equipment maintenance, work quality and completion of requisite reports and documentation.
  • Reviewing compliance with technical services reporting guidelines including accuracy and timeliness of report completion; responsiveness to identified deficiencies; and proactive scheduling of revisits.
  • Engaging with customers in an effective and timely manner to build meaningful customer relationships and proactively respond to identified issues and concerns.
  • Optimizing local service delivery opportunities and existing client relationships, through identification of opportunities to address additional needs of current clients as well as expand services to new clients, in collaboration and consultation with the branch, business development, sales teams and the Regional Manager.
  • Leading achievement of branch sales and service delivery plans, programs, processes, and other deliverables, in consultation with the Regional Manager.

We are looking for a leader who is:

  • Skilled in leading a field service team to deliver top-tier customer service and solutions with high levels of safety focus.
  • Highly motivated and focused on meeting and exceeding targets and deliverables.
  • Attentive to building relationships within their team and the company, and with the clients they support.
  • Comfortable communicating in a variety of situations whether it be on at a branch or client site, in a Teams call, or community partners.
  • Adaptable to changing situations and priorities.
  • Decisive. Able to analysis information and situations and make timely decisions.
  • A team player who has no issues lending a hand or asking for one.
  • Ready to travel (including overnight travel) to operating locations throughout the province as well as to remote client sites as required.

Candidate must also possess the following experience and training credentials:

  • Relevant field or operations leadership experience in operations management, fire and life safety services, industrial field services, or related areas.
  • Supervisory, management, leadership or other related training.
  • 5+ years experience in operational management leading a field service delivery team complemented by experience in the fire and life safety industry.
  • Valid Drivers License.
