Residential Solar Advisor (Sales) - Permanent, Full Time

SkyFire Energy is seeking a highly motivated solar sales professional to join our team in West Kelowna.

This role requires an experienced candidate who has worked in the solar industry, is driven, has perseverance, and is highly personable. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, whose passions and values align with SkyFire Energy and a passion for renewable energy.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Residential solar sales (B2C), prospecting, and engaging with homeowners within the Okanagan region.
  • Manage the sales lifecycle, including prospecting and discovery, lead qualification, assessing customer needs, conducting on-site site assessments, system design and pricing, contracts, and negotiations.
  • Solid understanding of sales, solar, solar products, design, etc. is required.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and other digital records as required.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Revenue Operations to increase pipeline visibility and organizational support.
  • Attend industry-related networking functions to expand SkyFires market presence.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in solar and ideally technical sales, in the solar, construction, and/or electrical industry.
  • Experience with industry software such as Scanifly, OpenSolar, Salesforce or Hubspot, Scoop is an asset.
  • Capable of lifting, moving, climbing ladders, and comfortable working at heights.
  • Flexibility to meet with potential customers in the evenings or on weekends as necessary.
  • Must possess a valid class 5 driver's license with an excellent record.
  • Demonstrated passion for the renewable energy industry.
  • A growth mindset.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, with some exceptions for tradeshows, events, etc. that may occur evenings and weekends.
  • Hybrid work environment; minimum 2 days per week in office.
