Role Responsibilities
Apply, remove and repair thermal and acoustical insulation (e.g., calcium silicate, glass foam, mineral wool, Styrofoam, Fiberglas, armflex) on all types of industrial equipment (e.g. duct piping, heat exchangers, tanks, vessels)
Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements
Select the amount and type of insulation to be installed as well as a method of securing the insulation (e.g., pin welding, wiring, banding, taping) according to the type and shape of surface, whether or not the equipment is cold or hot, inside, or outside, and what the equipment is going to be used for
Measure and cut insulating material and coverings to the required shape and dimension, as well as fitting insulation around obstructions or shape insulation materials and protective coverings
Role requirements
Journeyman Insulator (MUST be ticketed).
CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and First Aid certifications required.
Asbestos experience or certification is considered an asset.
Maintain positive relations with clients and coworkers through effective communication conflict management skills.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, (personal safety as well as others);
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Strong time management and organisation skills in order to meet various competing deadlines.
Ability to work within a team and build a positive team environment.
Ability to display sound and accurate judgement.
Ability to present a professional image and to encourage subordinates to do the same
IRATA Rope Access Level 1,2 required

Salary: Pay: $58.60 per hour (46.50+Uplifts)

Travel premium: $3/hr
Shift Premium: $5/hr
vacation pay: 10% of base hourly pay

14 on 14 off, fly in fly out at IOL Kearl lake (Fort McMurray)
