About the Implementation Specialist role
Float is seeking an Implementation Specialist to deliver exceptional onboarding experiences for our customers. As a key member of the implementation team, you will play a vital role in shaping our onboarding strategies and processes. Your responsibilities will include providing solutions and best practices, supporting ad hoc requests and sharing expertise through training sessions and webinars. The ideal candidate will excel in communication and relationship management, thriving in collaborative problem-solving with our customers.
As an Implementation Specialist at Float, you will:
- Lead customer onboardings. Manage all aspects of onboarding for an assigned set of customers, including configuration, testing enablement and change management, to ensure successful adoption and development of strong customer relationships. This includes managing communications with our internal stakeholders.
- Proactively manage multiple projects. Deliver on multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring that customer adoption goals are achieved across your assigned portfolio.
- Identify and mitigate risks. Proactively identify onboarding risks, communicate to internal stakeholders and collaborate on effective mitigation strategies.
- Develop best practices. Formulate and share best practices for accelerated onboarding through cross-functional collaboration and contributions to implementation playbooks.
- Provide product expertise. Support customers beyond your portfolio by responding to Customer Success tickets and requests in Zendesk.
- Drive automation and scalability. Identify and deliver on opportunities for automation, such as creating macros or templates, to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
You'll be great in this role if:
- You have a track record of leading effective customer implementations. With 3-5 years of experience in a customer-facing role, you've successfully guided customers through onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition and driving long-term adoption.
- You're a proactive multi-tasker. You excel at independently managing multiple projects at different stages of completion and can effectively prioritize your day-to-day priorities.
- You're customer-obsessed. You have proven experience in a customer-facing role and are driven by a desire to support and ensure the success of customers.
- You love solving complex problems. You are resourceful and energized by helping each unique customer find solutions, especially when the answers aren't straightforward and you love troubleshooting technical issues.
- You excel at managing internal stakeholders. We simplify customer experience through communicating on behalf of our customers, this means that you will partner closely with cross-functional teams including Risk & Compliance, Account Executives and our Product team.
- You're a clear and empathetic communicator. This role requires strong written and verbal communication skills. You are quick to respond to emails and over video calls, and are able to summarize and document customer issues in a succinct and clear manner, plus you are an incredible cross-functional communicator collecting and sharing time-sensitive and important information with other teams internally.
- You're an owner. You aren't waiting for someone else to tell you what to do, you have excellent judgment, you get into the details (no task is too small), you work with a sense of urgency, always.
This role won't be a fit if:
- You aren't prepared to always provide exceptional customer experiences.
- You aren't super passionate about helping Float build the best corporate card and spend management platform in Canada.
- You need a playbook of answers for every problem.
- You love routine and having a predictable day-to-day schedule.
- You are uncomfortable with change or pivoting on the fly.
- You prefer a slow pace and aren't an “all in” person.
- You prefer working on tasks and projects one at a time versus juggling multiple tasks at once.
Don't meet every single requirement? If you're excited about this role, and you strongly align with our values but your past experience doesn't align perfectly, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be the right candidate for this, or other future positions.
