- Responsible for installing, inspecting, adjusting, and repairing equipment while following all safety rules and regulations
- Maintain all equipment to required standards and be responsive to production needs and equipment failures
- Work as part of a team and independently while maintaining high levels of accuracy and safety while performing job duties
- Perform daily inspections of equipment, filling out inspection sheets and making note of any items needing repair
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment
- Assist electricians with machine repairs as required
- Perform routine maintenance on buildings systems
- Install new equipment as needed
- Rebuild hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders
- Fabricate various fixtures as required
- Troubleshoot failed equipment
- Replace various items such as blown fuses, hydraulic pumps, drive belts, saw blades, motor couplings, etc. as required
- Perform general welding repairs
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace at all times
- Responsible to follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Can Art Company Policies
- Must have 433A Industrial Millwright license
- Minimum 3 years of millwright experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Ability to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment
- Good knowledge of hydraulic circuits/diagnostics, and basic electrical knowledge
- Proficient in welding
- PLC experience is an asset
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft suites and Megamation program is an asset
- Previous experience with metal processing, heavy stamping, or die casting equipment is an asset
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Solid interpersonal skills that allow for working effectively in a diverse work environment
- Ability to take initiative on tasks and work with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Strong work ethic and positive team player attitude
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge of health and safety best practices in a manufacturing environment
- Plant Environment
- Twelve hour rotating continental shift
- Exposure to loud noise and heat
- May be required to lift up to 50lbs
- Overtime as needed
