Birch Mountain Enterprises LP (BME) is looking to hire experienced CAT-VAC Operators for our client site. Must be TDG knowledgeable, and have previous wiggle wagon experience.

Job Summary:

Operating from our client's site, this position involves the safe operation of CAT-VACs. Operators should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates who possess previous experience in the industrial sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate CAT-VAC safely and efficiently in mine environment.
  • Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in all weather.
  • Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to daily logbooks, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, and pre/post trip inspections.
  • Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervision.
  • Complete daily housekeeping of assigned trucks to ensure maintenance of company image.
  • Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain and operate all BME tools and equipment to the required standards and procedures.
  • Ensure that all training is kept current.
  • Follow all TDG and WHMIS standards and regulations.
  • Seek out continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Provide customer-focused services in all activities.

Qualifications:

  • Must have previous operating experience on a wiggle wagon.
  • Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Class 3 license with manual experience would be considered an asset.
  • Must have previous Mine driving experience.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.
  • Must successfully pass BME driver's evaluation, D&A, and fit for duty pre-employment screening.
