Your Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Marwood wide stamping process improvements (cycle times etc.)
- Attend die design reviews
- Test various types of sensors, record and compare data
- Research sensors for best application
- Create and install sensor packages for dies
- Build necessary testing equipment, i.e. test cart for dies
- Troubleshooting/testing of problematic sensors
- Organize and order stock, maintain inventory
- Establish contacts with various sensor companies
- Create necessary drawings with CAD for sensor blocks, levers, plungers, etc.
- Work with tool contractors, machine shops and specialty services to develop tool and product prototypes
- Test functional performance of tooling and parts
- Research and development of new methods and technology
- Drive PDCA loops to improve speeds and stop times
- Eliminate sensor related downtime
- Report out weekly to management on improvement activities
- All other relevant duties
Key Requirements:
- Grade 12 Diploma
- Recognized Trades License; preference for dual trade
- Computer efficiency
- 2 - 5 years' related experience in Tier I Automotive manufacturing
