Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Onboarding Engineer to join our growing global team at Sectigo.
We are seeking a highly skilled Onboarding Engineer who will be responsible for working directly with customers by providing expertise in the Sectigo product portfolio. In this role, you will assist customers from the proof-of-concept to production stages, where you will understand their technical needs and translate how our platform offerings could be a fit.
You will be juggling multiple customers at one time and will serve as the liaison between various stakeholders within and external to Sectigo. Excelling in this role will mean providing customers with a seamless experience in terms of implementation and onboarding while navigating the resolution of technical issues as they arise.

This is a full-time and in-office position, working 5 days a week from our Ottawa office.
This is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Manager of Onboarding Engineers.
The compensation for this role will consist of a base salary plus commission, with the OTE between CAD 80,000 and CAD 95,000, based on years of experience and internal equity.
Here are the core functions, responsibilities, and expectations for this role:
- Provide production and/or proof-of-concept onboarding services to customers and prospects, assisting with the implementation of the Sectigo product portfolio.
- Provide subject matter expertise related to the Sectigo product portfolio during post-sales engagement with customers.
- Maintain a high standard of communication and customer service throughout the entire onboarding process, including regular updates in a ticketing system.
- Demonstrate strong personal organization and management skills by juggling priorities, meeting deadlines, and setting expectations both externally and internally.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Actively contribute to building and improving the Onboarding Readiness Program, including internal process improvement initiatives, updating and maintaining the knowledge base and other documentation, and expanding working knowledge of current and future products.
- Actively participate as a key team member to ensure both individual and shared goals are achieved.
- Other duties as assigned and related to the nature of this role and company initiatives.
Education:
- BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering from an accredited college or equivalent work experience (considered an asset)
- MCP – Microsoft Certified Professional (considered an asset)
- Linux/Solaris/UNIX System Administration (considered an asset)
- Azure/GCP/AWS Certification (considered an asset)
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of IT industry experience with a minimum of 1 within a customer implementation environment
- Experience working with various Microsoft software and systems, specifically Active Directory, Windows platforms servers and workstation.
- Experience working with Linux platforms.
- Experience with various webservers & firewall/load balancers software/platforms
- Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), SSL, X509 (considered an asset)
- Network infrastructure experience (considered an asset)
- Experience with Public Cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS) (considered an asset)
- Experience with eCommerce, CDN, DNS, WAF or Web Hosting (considered an asset)
- Experience with scripting in various languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.) against REST APIs (considered an asset)

- Proficiency in English is required.
- Proficiency in additional languages (French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, etc.) is considered an asset.
