1-800-GOT-JUNK? is looking for a creative and driven Content Strategy Specialist who is passionate about building a vibrant, engaged community through storytelling. In this role, you will develop and execute content strategies that position our founder as a key voice in entrepreneurship and the possibility mindset space. You will help establish his unique perspective, drive meaningful conversations, and deepen connections with our audience, both digitally and in-person. Working closely with the founder, you will ensure the content reflects his voice, vision, values, and expertise while ensuring it resonates with our community, inspires action, and fosters ongoing engagement???? ???? HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • In Hub: Vancouver-based team members work in-office every other week (Tues–Thurs).
  • Core attendance is required from 9 AM – 3 PM on these days to support business priorities.

???? A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Content Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement content strategies that elevate the founder's voice.
  • Repackage and repurpose existing content for maximum impact.
  • Ensure content aligns with platform-specific best practices (YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok).
  • Community Building & Engagement
  • Build and nurture an engaged audience across digital channels.
  • Spark conversations, respond to feedback, and foster authentic interactions.
  • Content Performance & Growth
  • Track and analyze engagement metrics to refine content strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the founder's reach and influence.
  • Production & Special Initiatives
  • Support live events, partnerships, and high-profile engagements (e.g., Dragons' Den).
  • Assist with content production, from video editing to podcasting.

???? WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Degree or equivalent experience in New Media, Digital Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or Communications.
  • 5-6 years in content strategy, digital storytelling, or community engagement.
  • Hands-on experience managing content across YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram.
  • Basic skills in video editing, photography, podcasting, and social listening tools.
???? COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 (based on experience, education & internal parity)
