Overseeing Clinical Nutrition & Food Services, Environmental Services, Patient Transport, Waste, Linen, and Call Centre Operations, you'll lead a high-performing team to enhance patient care, optimize processes, and ensure top-tier service delivery. Key Responsibilities include:
- Aligned with corporate strategic goals, develops and implements policies and processes that drive performance across the Support Services portfolio
- Leads strategic planning for Support Services including the development of departmental objectives and change initiatives, while ensuring continuous quality improvement and service excellence
- Accountable for the development and maintenance of appropriate policies/procedures, quality improvement initiatives, safety, training and orientation programs ensuring compliance with all government and regulatory acts, codes, regulations and standards and recognized best practices
- Accountable for the development and implementation of required emergency preparedness and contingency plans in the event of unanticipated interruptions or loss of key services
- Provides direct leadership to the Support Services management team to develop and monitor achievement of specific operational goals at the department level
- Oversees a diverse team across multiple sites, ensuring delegation of tasks and fostering a high-performance culture
- Leads and motivates staff within Support Services to maintain quality work standards, customer service, organizational performance, continuous learning and quality improvement
- Promotes innovation and collaboration across all Support Services departments to maintain and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations
- Oversight and final decision making as it relates to various Support Services projects, including but not limited to food service menu optimization, ongoing linen utilization review, and ongoing waste management review to ensure sustainability and environmental initiatives being met
- Direction and management of the support services and equipment management Accreditation Teams, ad hoc as needed
- Develop, recommend and maintain budgets for all Support Services departments in alignment with organizational financial plan and approved resources
- Lead Support Services management team in financial planning, forecasting and resource allocation within approved program budget
- Develop and report portfolio indicators to measure efficiency and fiscal responsibility; including workload, scope of service, quality of service, safety, call back/overtime, sick time, linen utilization, etc. in order to ensure operating effectiveness and to maximize opportunities to improve the operations of the Support Services departments
- Responsible for ensuring Support Services is meeting revenue and expense targets, identifying risks and course correcting as needed
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Food and Nutrition Management
- Membership in Canadian Society of Nutrition Management or Dietitians of Canada
- Advanced Food Safety Training
- Environmental Services Leadership Program (considered an asset)
- Over 10 years of experience managing and leading a Support Services team in a Healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of Food Service Technology Systems, Meal Delivery Models and industry best practices
- Strong knowledge of Environmental Services cleaning process, waste management activities and PIDAC standards
- Proven ability to lead a large cross functional team, fostering a high-performance culture and service excellence
- Strong knowledge of labour relations, workforce planning and collective agreement administration within a unionized environment
- Ability to manage large projects for Support Services
- Extensive experience in strategic goal planning, financial forecasting and budget management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to prepare reports, policy documents and executive briefings
- Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and objectives within specified time frames
- Excellent conflict resolution and relationship building skills
- Demonstrated decision-maker, problem solver, negotiator, and consensus builder
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills and ability
- Demonstrated process management skills
- Demonstrated ability to mentor others

Hours: Monday to Friday, days, 7.5 hour shifts (subject to change based on operational requirements) Travel to other sites required
Salary: $70.569 to $88.211 per hour
