Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 + Commission

Job Summary:
The Director of Sales will spearhead the development of a new sales department for the company. This role will involve creating and implementing the department's structure, hiring and managing top talent, and developing a comprehensive sales strategy. The Director of Sales will be responsible for driving revenue growth while establishing scalable processes and building a high-performance sales culture from the ground up. They will work closely with senior leadership to align sales goals with overall company objectives and ensure the departments success.


Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, coach, and manage the sales teams and reps
  • Set clear objectives and KPIs for the sales team, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Foster a high-performance sales culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and results to meet revenue goals
  • Develop training programs, provide ongoing coaching, and support career development for the team
  • Ensure all sales processes and strategies are effectively communicated to the sales team and executed with precision. Actively monitor adherence to processes and provide immediate feedback or course correction as needed.

Sales Department Development

  • Lead the recruitment and hiring of top-performing sales professionals.
  • Create and optimize sales processes, pipelines, and tools for efficient sales operations.

Sales Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets, drive market share, and grow the customer base.
  • Create sales forecasts and monitor performance, adjusting strategies as needed to meet quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align on go-to-market strategies, lead generation, and sales enablement programs.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments to drive growth.

Sales Operations:

  • Optimize the sales process, including lead qualification, sales funnel management, and CRM usage (Salesforce, etc.)
  • Oversee the development of sales plans, including territory and quota assignments
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of sales metrics, providing regular updates to senior leadership
  • Work closely with finance to manage pricing, discounting, and contract negotiations to maximize profitability.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospects
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase customer retention, reduce churn, and grow existing accounts
  • Partner with the Customer Success team to ensure customer satisfaction and drive cross-sell/up-sell opportunities

Market & Competitive Analysis:

  • Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to stay ahead of market shifts.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations for new product developments or market expansions.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong knowledge of sales strategies, processes, and methodologies (familiarity with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, is preferred).
  • Experience managing sales teams, driving performance, and fostering a positive team culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sales strategies that drive growth in competitive markets.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in printing, packaging or manufacturing is a plus
