Job Summary:
We are looking for a Production Technician with manufacturing experience. Someone who is knowledgeable, enjoys working with their hands, self-motivated, attentive to detail, and takes pride in doing a good job.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Read and interpret documents such as Assembly drawings, Work Order instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Build crates for shipping of pumps and mixers
- Balancing of shafts and impellers
- Assist welders, painters, or other tradespeople on-site
- Completes fit-up, grinding and deburring operations
- Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material
- Use power and pneumatic tools and machinery (e.g. forklifts, overhead crane, pallet trucks) when needed
- Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
- Maintains a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Secondary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assists Welders, Assemblers, and Fitters when required.
- Back up for painter.
- Back up Testing of product
- Performs general shop and building maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Physical:
- Must be capable of working prolonged periods standing, sitting, squatting,
- and bending.
- Lift, Push and Pull Requirements: Up to 50 pounds.
- Must be manually dexterous.
- Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled manufacturing facility.
- Ability to work safely with various chemicals including and not limited to thinners, acetones, and xylene.
- Mental:
- Mathematics.
- The use of the English language, both Oral and Written.
- Requires daily communication with multiple departments to insure maximum efficiency.
- Fast-paced environment.
Education & Skills:
- OSSD High School Diploma or GED required.
- Read Blueprints.
- Numerical and categorical accuracy.
- Operate spray painting equipment.
- Works as a team.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years.
Working Conditions:
- Hours of operation: 7:30am to 4:00pm or 2:30pm to 11pm.
