NutriChem is looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the pharmacist in various tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our pharmacy.

In order to fulfill the tasks at hand, youll need to be highly experienced with this entire stack:

Expected Outcomes:

  • Resource Planning
    • In collaboration with the RPh.T and pharmacist, ensure the correct resources are available to support the smooth day-to-day functioning of the pharmacy (prescription workflow management, inventory management,, patient services, compliance and safety, financial resources)
  • Communications (interprofessional)
    • Play a key role in facilitating clear and efficient communication and collaboration between pharmacists, healthcare providers, patients, and other stakeholders.
    • Ensure accurate communication of patient information through proper documentation in the pharmacys records system and relay important updates or changes in patient status, medication regimens, or other relevant information to the pharmacist.
  • Customer Service
    • Interact with customers, helping to create a positive experience and ensuring their needs are met efficiently and compassionately.
    • Communicate with customers about their prescriptions, including expected wait times, potential side effects, and proper usage instructions, ensuring they understand how to take their medications safely.
    • Handle customer complaints with professionalism and a focus on finding a solution that satisfies the customer.
  • Order Processing
    • Accurate and efficient handling of prescriptions and medication orders.
    • Maintaining day-to-day prescription processing
      • Rx Entering
      • Rx Filling
      • Voicemails, Emails, & Communications
      • Organizing shipping and deliveries
      • Charging Rxs
    • Receive and review incoming prescriptions from customers, doctors, or electronic systems, ensuring all necessary information is complete and accurate.
    • Enter prescription information into the pharmacys computer system accurately, including medication name, dosage, quantity, and instructions for use.
    • Assist in obtaining authorization for refills from healthcare providers when necessary, ensuring that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.

Skills, Qualifications and Track Record:

Education and Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Pharmacy Assistant certificate or diploma from an accredited program

Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a pharmacy setting
  • Previous experience working with Kroll
  • Experience with prescription data entry and handling customer service inquiries

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing prescriptions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers, pharmacists, and healthcare providers.
  • Basic knowledge of pharmacy operations, medications, and terminology.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Organizational Skills:
