As they expand, they are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This role is essential for ensuring smooth freight operations, managing shipments, and maintaining excellent relationships with carriers and customers.

Job Overview:

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing freight shipments, negotiating carrier rates, and ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and proficiency with transportation management software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and dispatch freight shipments in line with customer requirements.

  • Monitor cross-border shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations.

  • Track and manage driver hours of service to maintain legal and safe operations.

  • Provide real-time shipment updates to customers for transparency and proactive issue resolution.

  • Collaborate with shippers and receivers to schedule pickups and deliveries.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all shipments.

  • Utilize transportation management software (TMS) and Microsoft Office for dispatching and tracking.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics coordination, 3PL freight brokerage, or transportation dispatching.

  • Strong negotiation skills for securing competitive carrier rates.

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management software (TMS) preferred.

  • Knowledge of cross-border freight movement and customs compliance.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday
