About the team:
We're a small but mighty team of three, bringing big ideas to life! We work in a hybrid setup, which means you'll get the best of both worlds—collaborative in-office days on Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus a third day of your choice to mix things up. Whether we're brainstorming new content ideas or celebrating a media win, we keep things fun, creative, and always supportive.
What You'll Do
- Secure third-party content to deliver results against key measures of success.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with editorial media contacts, including affiliate partners.
- Develop communications materials to proactively engage media and affiliate partners.
- Manage inbound media inquiries.
- Route media opportunities appropriately.
- Facilitate image and product sample requests where necessary.
- Ensure sample deadlines are met to secure content.
- Support the Senior Communications Manager in the development and execution of tactical campaign plans to meet marketing objectives.
- Monitor for secured placements, affiliate activity, and performance.
- Provide accurate, on-time input to campaign reporting.
- Be able to analyze performance and identify areas of opportunity.
- Identify potential editorial and content publishers to onboard as affiliate partners.
- Facilitate onboarding of partners through our affiliate platform and/or subnetworks.
- Keep a constant pulse on the media and creator landscape to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Regularly share learnings and recommendations with the rest of the team.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Brand Stewardship: Effective at protecting brand integrity and maintaining brand standards so a consistent voice and message is communicated to end consumers.
- Communications Strategy: Demonstrates the capabilities to support the creation of effective communications plans.
- Project Management: Can effectively plan, organize, and manage resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.
- Writing and Editing: Can develop clear, concise, and compelling written communication that conveys key messages, selecting the most effective language and adhering to editorial best practices to evoke a particular mood, create understanding, or influence a particular action.
- Media Relations: Identifying and building relationships with media that reach in-demand audiences to introduce them to Article and its products in a positive, consistent, and credible manner.
Who You Are
- A Natural Communicator: You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, making it easy for you to craft compelling messages, pitch ideas, and build strong relationships.
- Marketing-Savvy: You understand the fundamentals of marketing and how great storytelling influences brand perception and engagement.
- Relationship Builder: Whether it's media contacts, affiliate partners, or internal teams, you know how to foster connections that drive results.
- Strong understanding of the North American consumer media landscape.
- Experienced in media relations and influencer marketing with a proven track record of securing placement in North American consumer media.
- Organized & Detail-Oriented: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, keeping track of multiple projects without missing a beat.
- Hands-on experience with media monitoring (e.g., CISION, Meltwater, MuckRack).
- Deadline-Driven: You have strong time management skills, ensuring every opportunity is seized and every campaign runs smoothly.
- Data-Driven Thinker: You love analyzing performance metrics and turning insights into actionable strategies to optimize results.
- Experience using influencer marketing platforms (e.g., CreatorIQ, Aspire) is considered an asset.
- Experience in affiliate marketing and experience using affiliate platforms (e.g., Impact, AWIN, CJ) is considered an asset.
- Tech-Savvy: You're comfortable navigating G-Suite and picking up new tools quickly. Bonus points if you can work some magic in Adobe InDesign.
- Recent position in a communications/ public relations agency preferred.
- Legally able to work in Canada.
- Completion of criminal background check.

- The salary range is $75,000 to $85,000. The starting salary will be determined by your transferable skills, knowledge, work experience, and the hiring team's budget, which is based on business needs, market compensation data, and internal equity
