Job Title: Outreach Worker

Location: Cold Lake First Nations

FCSS is seeking an Outreach Worker to provide support to youth and adults, working closely with the Dene Wellness and Health Centre. This role involves crisis intervention, mentoring, life skills education, and connecting clients with community resources, including support for those experiencing homelessness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct client assessments and develop action plans.
• Provide counseling and support in group homes and other settings.
• Assist with life skills workshops and substance abuse programs.
• Offer crisis intervention and organize emergency services.
• Coordinate with community organizations and maintain client records.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in a Human Resources field.
• Knowledge of Indigenous culture (Denesuline).
• Experience in Child and Youth Care (asset).
• Valid Class 4 Drivers License (or willingness to obtain).
• Clear criminal record and Vulnerable Sector Records Check (VSRC).
• First Aid certification (training provided).

Working Conditions:

• Travel required for client transportation.
• Primarily evenings and weekends.
• Flexible work schedule (maximum 37.5 hours/week).

Salary:
Commensurate with qualifications.
