Job Title: Web Developer
Key Responsibilities:
Web Development & Service Delivery:
Develop and prepare detailed diagrammatic plans for web-based service delivery over the internet, ensuring robust and secure access to government services.
Analyze requirements and collaborate with systems analysts/designers to determine the appropriate style and extent of information to be transferred over the internet.
Select and utilize the most effective web development tools for connecting internet-based clients to departmental back-end information delivery systems and databases.
Design & Usability:
Design intuitive, user-friendly, and high-usability web pages that meet government requirements and deliver an optimal user experience for both internal and external users.
Work with stakeholders to refine web page designs and functionalities to ensure they meet accessibility standards and provide seamless navigation.
Quality Assurance & Testing:
Verify the accuracy and completeness of programs by preparing sample data and conducting system acceptance test runs to ensure that systems perform as expected.
Identify and correct any program errors by revising instructions or altering the sequence of operations to improve functionality and security.
Documentation & Maintenance:
Document all aspects of the web development process, including specifications, flow charts, diagrams, layouts, and programming instructions, for future reference and modification.
Provide ongoing maintenance, updates, and enhancements to existing web applications, ensuring they continue to meet evolving requirements and security standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must Have:
5+ years of experience as a Web Developer, with a proven track record of developing secure, high-quality web applications.
Strong expertise in Java and JavaScript for web application development.
Experience with Security Clearance – Enhanced Reliability (a must for this position).
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues related to web-based services and data transfer.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with .NET framework and web technologies.
Experience with front-end frameworks like AngularJS (Angular 1.x) or React.js.
Security Clearance – Top Secret or other advanced clearances is preferred.
Experience working with government-related or highly regulated projects.
