**Your Responsibilities as a General Manager:**

• Direct supervisors and staff to ensure efficient facility operations
• Collaborate with the Regional Manager and VP of Operations to set the annual budget, considering equipment condition, environmental needs, operational requirements, and business growth
• Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities for ABC, and develop existing relationships to achieve growth in volume and market share
• Oversee environmental, health, and safety programs to maintain a safe environment for all employees, customers, and visitors
• Assist in developing facility standard operating procedures
• Manage all human resources processes, including training and performance management
• Measure and report service and operational data, partnering with corporate subject matter experts to enhance key performance metrics
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
• Partner with the corporate business development team and other General Managers at ABC or partner locations to expand the company's customer base and service offerings

**Qualifications for the General Manager Role:**

• 5+ years of experience in operations/distribution management of a satellite business location, including people management
• 3+ years of experience running a profit center-oriented business model
• Proven ability in sales and business development, with a track record of winning new customers and accounts
• Experience in implementing continuous improvement and quality assessment programs
• Proficiency in using MS Office suite and other computer software programs
• Ability to develop and build relationships both internally and externally
• Experience in the scrap metal processing industry is an asset
• Degree or diploma in a related post-secondary program is an asset
• Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial or business growth acumen
